Pomelo Care is a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, engineers and problem solvers who are passionate about improving care for moms and babies. We are transforming outcomes for pregnant people and babies with evidence-based pregnancy and newborn care at scale. Our technology-driven care platform enables us to engage patients early, conduct individualized risk assessments for poor pregnancy outcomes, and deliver coordinated, personalized virtual care throughout pregnancy, NICU stays, and the first postpartum year. We measure ourselves by reductions in preterm births, NICU admissions, c-sections and maternal mortality; we improve outcomes and reduce healthcare spend.

Role Description

Your North Star: Provide direct patient care on the weekends through chat, phone, and video to Pomelo patients. 

In this role you will:

  • Engage in direct pediatric patient care on Saturdays and Sundays 9am-9pm ET as a Pomelo provider 
  • Assess urgent concerns and proactively triage patients to support appropriate utilization of emergency services
  • Complete documentation of all overnight patient encounters
  • Collaborate with daytime clinical staff to ensure smooth transition of care for patients who contacted us overnight
  • Represent the Pomelo practice in a warm and professional manner
  • Demonstrate humility, accountability, and initiative internally as well as in patient interactions 

Requirements: 

  • Have 4+ years experience in pediatrics/infant care 
  • Reside in a nursing compact state
  • Are internet-connected, able to work remotely via video, phone and text
  • Are willing to get licensed in multiple states
  • Flexible and agile thinker who embraces change

Bonus points for: 

  • Telehealth and/or remote monitoring experience
  • Experience in outpatient or home-based management of higher-risk patients

In accordance with New York City, Colorado, California, and other applicable laws, Pomelo Care is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The baseline salary for this role is $60-$65/hour.
